Construction projects that repurpose existing spaces can be quite challenging, but also offer unique opportunities for creative solutions. One such project was this transformation of an indoor swimming pool into a self-contained one-bedroom apartment.

The project began by retaining the existing swimming pool void as a storage area, which was a unique and efficient use of space. The pool's structural factors, such as the reinforced concrete walls and floor, provided a solid foundation for the new apartment.

The next step was to add the necessary partitions, walls, and floors to create the new living spaces. To ensure the structural integrity of the building, the new walls and floors were carefully designed to integrate with the existing structure. The new partitions were built using a combination of drywall and steel studs, which provided a sturdy and durable finish.

One of the most striking features of the new apartment was the use of bespoke wardrobes and kitchen units. These were designed to maximise storage space and provide a sleek, modern aesthetic.
To add a touch of luxury to the apartment, the designers sourced stone from abroad for the flooring and countertops. This added a unique and high-end feel to the space, while also providing a durable and easy-to-maintain surface.
